The Central Coast Seniors Festival of 2024 is progressively expanding and improving.

The festival will be held at Wyong Racecourse from March 11-24 under the theme Reach Beyond. The annual Seniors Expo will be held on Thursday, March 21.

Director of Community and Recreation Services for the Central Coast Council, Melanie Smith, stated that the festival offered a comprehensive schedule of activities throughout the region each year.

She stated, “The Council is excited to host a festival that welcomes all and acknowledges the significant contributions seniors make to our community.”

“At the Seniors Expo on March 21, the Council will highlight a variety of local services and resources available to seniors by bringing them together under one roof.

“A variety of stallholders from Central Coast-based businesses, service organisations, and community organisations will participate in the event.”

“Attendees will be afforded the opportunity to engage in direct dialogue with organisations, solicit resources, and pose enquiries.”

“We are extremely interested in senior citizens attending the seventy-plus local events that will be held at 22 locations along the Coast during the two-week festival, including our popular libraries, theatres, recreation centres, galleries, senior centres, and more.”

Participating in the festivities at the Central Coast Seniors Festival, according to administrator Rik Hart, was an excellent opportunity for senior locals to Reach Beyond in search of new experiences and to make new acquaintances.

He stated, “The Council is committed to strengthening our diverse population for all ages through the creation of new opportunities for connection, creativity, and inclusion, as well as by facilitating access to local sporting, community, and cultural initiatives.”

“The Community Strategic Plan is built upon this steadfast dedication.”

“This dynamic schedule of Seniors Festival events offers something for everyone, fostering a sense of community through gatherings to celebrate the variety of older people and the Coast’s finest products and services that enhance their splendid way of life.”
